How billing works
Each Granite project needs an active subscription. The subscription fee goes towards your usage-costs on the platform.
Included usage
Every plan includes an amount of resource usage: $15 on Hobby, $50 on Advanced and $200 on Professional. If your total resource usage at the end of the billing period stays within that amount, you only pay the subscription fee.
Extra credits
If the credits in your subscription are not enough, you can purchase extra credits at $1 per credit. They are added to your subscription automatically, and at the beginning of the next billing period your card is charged for the subscription plus the extra credits.
Monthly reset
Included resource usage is reset at the end of every billing cycle and does not accumulate over time. If you no longer need extra credits, you can remove them or reduce their number — the change takes effect at the beginning of the next billing period.
Examples on the Hobby plan
- Resource usage of $5. Your total bill for the cycle will be $9 — you are only charged the subscription fee, because your usage is below the included $15.
- Resource usage of $20. Your total bill for the cycle will be $14 ($9 subscription fee + $5 of extra credits), because your usage exceeds the included resource usage.
The same logic applies to the Advanced and Professional plans with their own included amounts. For your convenience, the credit balance in the control panel is displayed in dollars.
